The work of Phillip Guston punched me in the gut the first time I saw it. And, I was lucky enough to attend UNCG where Guston was a favored artist among professors and fellow students.

This video reminds me of those days and of course is a humorous take on the painterly groupies we were. As I recall, no one seriously crossed the line of artistic respect to the threshold of outright mimicry. But, I did fall in love with his pinks for sure.
